Mei Zen: Cosmetic Acupuncture

What it is?

It is a system that rejuvenates the face, neck and abdominal region while

addressing the overall health . Each session is conducted as a fully

comprehensive acupuncture balancing treatment, follow by the cosmetic

procedure.

How it works?

The protocols of the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture are based on TCM

and incorporate the importance of balance into each treatment . This is why

they are so effective. From a more modern medicine point of view what is

happening is that the needles are causing micro-traumas in the skin. Since

the body perceives that as an injury, it likely sends fibro blasts-cells that

can form collagen and elastin- to those sites to heal them. So there is the

possibility that your collagen and elastin stores get more abundant from the

needling. The wound healing process may have the effect of balancing the

dispersal of collagen as well as so that results are overall, not just in certain

areas. All of these would explain why the skin tone improves, why your skin

is more elastic/supple, and why things lift.

Length of treatment:

The cosmetic acupuncture treatment for the face and neck protocols takes

5 consecutive weeks. There is two treatments per week. Each treatment

takes 75min.

After the completion treatment, it is recommend one treatment per month to

maintain the benefits.
